The Arts and Dementia: Impact and Implementation Conference

Thursday 20 September 2018 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm BST

Artists, service users, carers and academics will come together to discuss the arts as a medium for leisure, care and learning in dementia. TAnDem researchers will look at how the arts can best be accessed by people with dementia in residential settings and at what approaches to evaluation are most suitable. Guest speakers will discuss the wider context for the arts and dementia in the UK.

Confirmed keynote speakers include: 

• David Cutler, The Baring Foundation
• Tony Husband, Cartoonish
• Sebastian Crutch, Created Out of Mind
• Rebecca Gordon Nesbitt, King’s College

In addition, Silva Lining’s Care Plan will be performing a premiere performance of a research-based play & discussion and Blue Skies Singing Group, Nottingham will also be performing.

The cost to attend is £75.00 per person which includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
