Alex Mclaughlin, Head of International Trade and Medical Device Regulation, Office for Life Sciences
Alex is responsible for all of OLS’s work on International Trade and Medical Device Regulation, advising Ministers in the Business and Health Departments.
Prior to his current role, Alex was Senior Private Secretary to two Health Ministers, established the Department’s epidemic vaccines programme, and worked for the Chief Medical Officer.
Jess Kirby, Senior Policy Advisor, International Trade and Medical Devices, Office for Life Sciences
Jess is a trade and medical device expert, who has worked in the Business Department for three years – with roles focussed on Brexit and International Trade.
Prior to this, Jess trained as an NHS Radiographer and worked in a specialist Medical Device firm.
