WEBINAR: COVID-19 and beyond, a clinicians perspective

Professor Ian Hall, Director, NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre will be joining us 5 months on from our last webinar with Ian where we heard about the launch of a new study platform for the next generation of COVID-19 clinical research: The Nottingham Recovery from COVID-19 Research Platform (NoRCoRP).

In this webinar, Ian will present on:

– An update on COVID-19 and the vaccination progression
– The latest news from The Nottingham Recovery from COVID-19 Research Platform (NoRCoRP)
– Challenges of managing non COVID work and thoughts on how the system might adjust to working in the future
– How to configure the UK post Brexit to delivery clinical translational research taking advantage of some of the lessons learnt from COVID

DURATION: 1 hour

This free to attend event is held as part of the INSTILS programme – a project part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, click here to be re-directed to further information about the project. This event is classed as State Aid to participating businesses, the value of which is £127, but is delivered completely free of charge to participants.

Speaker Profile:


Professor Ian Hall, Director, NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre 
Professor Ian is the Director of the NIHR Nottingham, Biomedical Research Centre. He is a chest physician based at NUH NHS Trust and the University of Nottingham, and has a long track record of research into the mechanisms underlying the development of a range of lung diseases. He currently chairs the national BRC Director’s forum, sits on NIHR Strategy Board, and is a member of UK-CTAP.
