Following great success in the UK, Optishield is pleased to announce the recent FDA registration for its creator DHC Innovations Ltd.

Now being used in optometry clinics up and down the country, the feedback received for this flexible optical occluder shows how working collaboratively on a new innovative device can result in greatly improved patient and clinician experience. And now, with the regulatory aspects of selling to the US well underway, the company are looking forward to new markets overseas.

Company CEO Donald Harrison explains “Medilink Midlands have been key to our progress in the UK offering proactive support and guidance and have been instrumental again with our current access to key markets abroad. We are in negotiation with a number of US contacts and are very grateful for the opportunities gained through our Medilink membership”.

Optishield are also pleased to share that they have recently teamed up with Erin’s World frames and will be available to view on their stand at the 100% Optical exhibition at the ExCel Centre in London on the 23- 25th of April 2022. Paediatric optometry is one of the many areas in which the Optishield is showing how being ‘hands-free’ is beneficial to visual testing, treatment and therapy, and this opportunity to work more closely with related ophthalmic partners is keenly anticipated.
