THE GUARDTECH GROUP are looking forward to another packed schedule of top-class controlled environment builds for the second half of 2022.

The Suffolk-based cleanroom design & build specialists delivered a string of high-quality projects – large, small and in between – during a fruitful opening six months of the year, as Guardtech Cleanrooms’ modular systems proved particularly popular.

With major projects currently underway for turnkey construction arm Cleanroom Solutions and yet more CleanCube Mobile Cleanrooms and Isopod Rapid Cleanrooms to come this year, the growing Haverhill firm are all set to record the biggest year of growth in the company’s 22-year history.

Commercial Director Mark Wheeler, who led the launch of the Guardtech Group as five distinct companies at the turn of the year, said: “We were excited to restructure the business in January, knowing 2022 was going to be a big year for us, but what’s transpired has eclipsed our expectations.

“I’d like to thank our amazing teams for their tireless efforts in delivering a first-class controlled environment service to all of our clients, who carry out such a wide range of interesting, often critical, activities.”

Among the projects completed by the Guardtech Group this year were a suite of 150sqm Grade D cleanrooms for pharmaceutical clinical trials in Kent and ISO6, ISO7 and ISO8 modular builds in Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Huddersfield respectively, while there has also been a major 400sqm Grade C and D project in Yorkshire progressing for some time now.

CleanCube Mobile Cleanrooms continued to strengthen its position as more than just a PCR testing solution, with Cell & Gene Therapy applications and other Research & Development firms opting to procure Guardtech’s award-winning portable units.

The Group even found the time to repurpose a company van as a CleanCube Mobi to donate to the Uganda People’s Defence Force to support COVID-19 testing in remote villages.

With a 500sqm ISO8 build in Cambridgeshire, 300sqm ISO6 development in Staffordshire, 200sqm ISO7 project in Devon and 300sqm ISO7 Medical Device cleanroom in Suffolk to come this year, the future looks brighter than ever for Guardtech and their five divisions.

Operations Director Conor Barwise added: “We’re delighted with the work we’ve carried in 2022 and are keen to continue to deliver upon those same high standards for the builds to come.

“We’re a growing team, yet all of the new recruits have really bought into what we’re trying to achieve here – quality cleanrooms and satisfied customers through a willingness to always go the extra mile.”
