Medilink Midlands, Ben Roberts Innovation Adviser will lead the webinar and share details of a UK-wide programme of funding for three regional Innovation Accelerator clusters.  Ben will be joined by Derek Sear, Business Engagement Manager (School of Chemical Engineering) at the University of Birmingham

The programme is focused on addressing the challenges associated with bringing new medical and healthcare technologies into the UK market. It aims to unite universities, hospitals, industry and government-funded ‘catapults’ for manufacturing innovation, helping companies to navigate ‘pinch points’ in the commercialisation process.

The purpose of this dynamic programme is to create a cluster of commercial activity, helping drive economic growth and enhance resilience. They will also ensure that local patients will benefit first from new medical technologies targeted at reducing healthcare inequalities in the region.
