The Enterprising Women network, led by co-chairs Jean Mountain and Eileen Perry MBE DL, will host a breakfast panel discussing opportunities for women in STEM.
Women make up only 28% of the workforce in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and men vastly outnumber women in most STEM fields in college. The gender gaps are particularly high in some of the fastest-growing and highest-paid jobs of the future.
Our panel is made up of STEM sector leaders, who will focus on the importance of women being involved and successful within the industries.
They will discuss key factors affecting the future of the STEM sector, such as gender stereotypes, male-dominated cultures, maths anxiety and the gap in role models within these sectors.
