Science and Engineering Health Technology Alliance (SEHTA), is one of the largest health technology network support organisations in Europe with over 1,500 members and a database of over 7,000 contacts. The SEHTA Team and its associated network has a deep understanding of the UK public and private markets which includes expertise in commercialisation strategies, market understanding and developing value propositions for health tech companies with a range of applications. SEHTA also provides support to bids and applications for a range of public and private sector funding by reviewing their applications or acting as a partner in the associated bid.

As a network support organisation, SEHTA assists public sector organisations to develop clusters, hold events, workshops and 1-1 mentoring programmes which facilitates the collaboration between the health and care sector with businesses.

The successful applicant will join a small team and will report directly to the Managing Director, Neil Roberts.

  • The role is full time at 37.5 hours per week
  • Location: Primarily home based. With access to workspace at London Institute for Healthcare
  • Engineering (LIHE) based near Waterloo Station, London as when required
  • Company Pension (after probation period of 6 months)

Job Specification:

  • Analysis of research and data for inclusion in consultancy reports for bespoke consultancy work packages revolving around the key questions of Market Understanding, Value Proposition, Partner Searches and Market Access Strategy.
  • Assist with the development and presentation of commercialisation strategies for companies including basic health economic analyses
  • Assist with project management and successful execution of projects
  • Delivery and articulation of projects to clients
  • Management and administration of the portfolio of client work
  • Contribute to writing applications for funding alongside health technology businesses and assist as
  • a partner in successful bids
  • Contribute to business development of SEHTA using individual expertise and skills
  • Contribute to the delivery of SEHTA events

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate qualification in life sciences or relevant physical sciences (relevant postgraduate qualification desirable)
  • Good understanding of the health and social care sector
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High levels of IT competency, particularly in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
  • Motivation to work effectively for considerable periods without direct supervision
  • Flexible approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
