Speaker Biography
Gary is a Corporate Finance Partner at Azets, a leading UK accounting firm which is focussed on advising privately owned, entrepreneurial businesses.
Originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen, Gary has for the last 30 years been advising owners, management teams and entrepreneurs on executing their strategic plans including acquisitions, exits, mergers, management buyouts and raising related finance for development capital, acquisition funding or working capital.
Gary has worked with businesses with deal sizes ranging from a pound to over £150m across a broad range of sectors including industrial manufacturing / engineering, logistics, healthcare, business services, and technology.
Gary has worked in the Corporate Finance transactional teams at PwC, EY, Clearwater International and FRP, amongst others. He has also spent five years as a partner in a private equity fund originating, structuring and managing equity investments in growing businesses.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and also holds the ICAEW’s CF certification.
Outside of work, Gary enjoys rugby, football, DIY and being a Dad and taxi service to his children.
