SBRI Healthcare provides funding and support to early-stage projects, enabling testing for business feasibility and technology development, as well as to more mature products by supporting real-world implementation studies. 

The competitions aim to accelerate innovative technologies in the NHS and the wider health and social care system, tackling unmet health and care needs.

Funding is available for phase 1 and 3 of the competition, looking for innovations that can help stroke services, urgent and emergency care, women’s health and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).

Competition 25 – AMR and women’s health

Applications close 28 August 2024 1pm. Projects will commence in January 2025. Phase 1 contracts for technical and commercial feasibility testing are valued at up to £100,000 (NET) and will last for six months.

Competition 26 – Urgent & emergency care and stroke 

Applications close 18 September 2024, 1pm. Projects are scheduled to start between January and February 2025. Contracts will last up to 12 months and are valued at up to £500,000 (NET) per project.
