Who is this programme suitable for:

Small and medium-sized enterprises, along with clinical entrepreneurs and innovators, seeking to transform or bolster their digital health solutions into operational and compliant applications.

About the programme:

The Digital Health Innovation Programme is designed to accelerate the development of innovative digital health solutions by supporting entrepreneurs, researchers and SMEs in creating impactful consumer and patient-facing apps. Sponsored and fully funded by Health Innovation East and Cogniss, the programme runs twice a year, selecting up to 20 innovators in total for a six-month journey of app creation & validation. Health Innovation East, Cogniss, and external experts will conduct the selection.

Participants will have the opportunity to build, publish and test their minimum viable product (MVP) within the Digital Hub sandbox, using Cogniss. Cogniss is a no-code platform that makes it possible to develop sophisticated consumer and patient-facing digital health solutions in a matter of weeks instead of months or even years. By eliminating the need for traditional development skills or technical backgrounds, Cogniss enables innovators to rapidly develop and deploy solutions, while simplifying compliance.

Beyond the programme, the app can be transferred to a dedicated instance of Cogniss, to be a standalone app in the web or relevant app stores, or it can remain within the sandbox until it receives funding. The participants should be prepared to secure funding or commercialise their solution after the programme.

Applications for the Digital Health Innovation Programme will be open until Saturday 14th December. Shortlisted innovators will be selected to attend interviews in mid-January. The programme of support and mentorship runs over a six month period and will commence in February 2025 for successful applicants.
