Medilink Midlands is proud to support cancer research charity, Hope Against Cancer.
Hope Against Charity supports cutting edge research and clinical trials in Leicestershire and Rutland. We strive for a future where more people survive cancer and do this through prioritisation of research into early detection, treatment and the prevention of cancer.
Hope Against Cancer work in partnership with local universities and hospitals to make sure the Midlands, Leicestershire and Rutland is a hub of expertise in cancer research and treatment.
Discovering
Hope Against Cancer has funded over 100 research projects covering a range of cancers at different stages of research, all with the aim of improving the lives of cancer patients.
Delivering
Since it’s opening in 2012 and expansion in 2020, over 30,000 patients have attended the Hope Cancer Trials Centre at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Sharing
Sharing results is a fundamental part of science. The results of Hope funded research are shared widely and Hope funded PhD students and researchers take away skills and knowledge that can impact the world.
