The next annual Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity (FOSAC) will be held between 5-16th February 2024.  Now in its 9th year the festival is an established feature in the city and county, working with local communities, especially in areas of disadvantage, so people of all ages and backgrounds can participate, interact and have conversations about the questions they are curious about. The festival finds innovative ways to provide children and young people with that first spark of interest in a future with science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM subjects). We organise interactive activities in schools/colleges, public spaces and local businesses.

The festival is a registered charity which relies on support and funding from our partners. Historically this has been provided from local universities and councils however we are increasingly working with local businesses to design, develop and deliver interactive activities to enable them to showcase their organisation and engage with their local communities.

We are looking to increase participation for the 2024 Festival and beyond as we believe this local connectivity between businesses and communities is hugely important and mutually beneficial.  If your organisation is looking to get involved in local science-based outreach activities, perhaps as part of your CSR objectives, then please get in touch with us. We’re happy to discuss specific PR opportunities for your company. We can work together to make a difference by sharing ideas and knowledge to inform and excite people how science affects their daily lives, and by developing and inspiring the future science and technology workforce.
