The Phenome Centre Birmingham would like to invite you to the grand opening and one-day scientific symposium on clinical metabolic phenotyping. The Centre is a new pioneering £8m Life Sciences facility designed to study metabolism in global human health and disease, based within the University of Birmingham.
The Symposium will include talks by:
- Professor Sir Mark Walport, Chief Scientific Advisor to the UK Government
- Professor Jeremy Nicholson, Director to the National Phenome Centre, Imperial College London
- Graham Silk, Chairman of Hampson Holdings, author of the ‘Silk Report’ commissioned by the Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP
Additionally, there will be four talks on the applications of metabolic profiling to human disease and ageing, and an opportunity to take a tour of the centre.
