China is the second largest and fastest-growing Medtech and Biotech market globally. In recent years, this has led to a heightened investment interest from Chinese Medtech and Biotech companies in the global healthcare and medical research sector.
The Bootcamp will tangibly equip leaders to life science and broader healthcare companies with the knowledge required to develop a successful business strategy for China. The intensive one-day schedule will incorporate sessions on accelerating the path to entrepreneurship, developing a market entry strategy, successful partnering approaches, regulatory pathways, distribution and marketing, market risks, common pitching techniques, and key success factors for introducing healthcare products, technologies, and services into China.
The course integrates the innovative Biodesign theory (The Process of Innovating Medical Technologies), which is the culmination of 16 years of medical entrepreneurship at Stanford University’s Biodesign Research Center. This theory was introduced to China by Professor Chengli Song of USST and has been implemented as the core curriculum of the Bootcamp by HiMed-Joyin since 2017. To date, 20 bootcamps have been successfully delivered, with over 300 entrepreneurs participating in previous sessions. Notably, more than one-third of the companies have reported achieving their goals and experiencing rapid development and growth in their businesses.
This course also encapsulates years of collective experience in the China market and life science commercialization, garnered from specialists, enterprises, and investors, along with insights from other renowned speakers from the global medical industry. By the conclusion of the bootcamp, founders will be equipped to formulate a comprehensive China market entry plan, which will then be presented to a panel of investors and industry experts as a pivotal deliverable.
