Cytecom Ltd, University of Warwick, and Medilink Midlands have teamed up together to organise the ‘Innovations Against AMR’ conference as part of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week. To tackle the growing issue of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) a collaborative effort is essential between academic researchers, industries, charities, policy makers and communities. This event aims to bring together experts of the field and provide a platform to establish links across academia and industries, showcase innovations and communicate them to wider audiences.
Cytecom Ltd is a University of Warwick spinout that has developed a fast, portable device for enumeration of live bacteria. Cytecom’s mission is to inform the fight against AMR by providing a rapid, low-cost, and easy-to-use AMR diagnostic test.
The event will be hosted by the University of Warwick, who are very generously providing space in the IBRB building for a series of short talks, posters, and a start-up zone.
A networking session after the event will provide a great opportunity to meet new collaborators and for the students to explore the breadth of career options in the field of AMR.
