With dedicated space at Arise Innovation Hubs Chelmsford, Essex, Medilink Midlands has joined the entrepreneurial ecosystem of innovators across the East of England.
The Arise Innovation Hubs, part of Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) are designed to support collaboration with innovation pipelines, skills development, business services, access to funding and ultimately economic growth.

Arise Innovation Hubs are an ecosystem for entrepreneurs that support health, performance and wellbeing companies that are looking for something more. It is a cultivating community, with opportunities to connect and access university facilities at ARU.
Home to a huge local talent pool, including Aeriel Icon Ltd, an award-winning Aerial Videography & VR Therapy Provider. Using the latest in drone and filmmaking technology to deliver high quality aerial imagery and film, developing AI and VR medical content.
Medilink Midlands and Member Patron ARU’s delivery of innovation and entrepreneur focused support programmes, were aimed to increase research and development as well as to improve knowledge transfer by helping SMEs to engage with other businesses, sectors, research entities and the NHS. Funded by Essex County Council.
Medilink Midlands role was to support SMEs through a series of events and tailored 1 to 1 support from sector specialists, plus awarded £30,000 Innovation Support Grants to increase the competitiveness of the industry, enable cross-sector technology transfer, and help to increase levels of national funding drawn into the region.
In 2024, Medilink Midlands East of England delivery expanded, and working with Essex County Council managed two Ambitious Essex Innovation Accelerators, focused on early-stage startups, female founders, young entrepreneurs. Aligned with the strategic economic growth areas identified by Essex County Council, including construction, clean energy, advanced manufacturing, digi-tech, and life sciences.
Medilink Midlands played a crucial role by bringing in its network and members, along with Medilink’s innovation advisers, to deliver in-person workshops, online sessions and one to one mentorship.
