Location: Women’s Enterprise and Community Hub, 249a Ladypool Road, Sparkhill, B12 8LF. There will be a need to be flexible about the working location across the West Midlands with some home working by agreement.

Contract: Fixed term contract until March 2025, probationary period of 6 months.

Hours of work: 30 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Holidays: 22 days per annum pro-rata

Salary: £35,000 per annum pro-rata plus pension (Employer 3% Employee 4%)

Job Description

About the role:

Reporting to the Project Lead, iSE, the Project Manager will:

Manage the DCMS SEBF project delivery by planning and overseeing all aspects of the project across the areas of Wolverhampton and Sandwell. The Project Manager will deliver the project goals on time and within budget and must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to act as the interface between the delivery teams, grant management teams and the funder (DCMS).

Input to other projects including project delivery as required by iSE.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Support the collecting of monitoring data as well as qualitative learning and insights e.g., testimonials and case studies.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of quarterly monitoring returns and project reports in a timely manner.
  • Support the Project Lead to maintain records and evidence of activity which support the successful delivery of the annual work-plan and project

Some of the key qualities include:

  • Experience of planning, such as Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in previous project management roles
  • Understanding of the business support environment
  • Communications and relationship management skills

Technical skills:

  • Prince 2 Foundation (Desirable)
  • Prince 2 Practitioner (Desirable)
  • Other Project Management qualifications
  • Demonstrable project management experience
Monitoring and evaluation:
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of activities delivered as part of the projects and provide reports to the Project Lead, CEO and iSE board where needed.
  • Utilise CRMs system to maintain client records and journey tracking.
  • Support the collecting of monitoring data as well as qualitative learning and insights e.g., testimonials and case studies.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of quarterly monitoring returns and project reports in a timely manner.
  • Support the Project Lead to maintain records and evidence of activity which support the successful delivery of the annual work-plan and project objectives as required by iSE.

General:

  • At all times to work in such a way as to promote Equal Opportunities.

  • To support the development of new and improved working and systems as appropriate to the needs of the business.
  • To work flexibly as required.

Other:

  • To keep up to date with developments in the social enterprise sector and topics relevant to the social business and social enterprise growth.
  • To attend training, seminars and conferences as advised.
  • This role will be expected to get involved in both project delivery & project
  • management
  • We expect all iSE roles to be multi disciplinary and this role would be suitable for
  • people with business support experience

Relationships

Accountable to the Project Lead & CEO.

Special Conditions

  • Some duties must be undertaken on site whilst others can be undertaken elsewhere.
  • Some duties will require the post holder to work outside of statutory hours as well as weekends if and when required.
