A UK-based digital health start-up is developing an innovative personal health platform to manage the healthcare needs of patients. The0 product being developed is a multi-stakeholder platform developed to the latest standards including complying with all the data security and privacy standards set forth by the UK ICO, GDPR, UK National Cyber security centre, NHS digital, data and technology standards framework and the Professional records standards body.
The platform development should be based on some of the latest architectural designs including Open API policy, micro services architecture, OAuth 2.0, Open ID connect and the use of JSON web tokens. The preferred technology stack includes Dot net core, SQL server, HTML, CSS and React Java script. The platform should demonstrate the interoperability for seamless communication of data between multiple applications. The platform development should be approached using the key principles of LEAN and AGILE.
The application development includes developing triaging and reporting workflows and dashboards for health and care professionals. The interoperability of data using secure APIs is critical to the application. The API application should be FHIR compliant and should follow the OIDC framework for using NHS login features. Some of the key development activities include,
- Project and database architecture
- Triaging and monitoring APIs
- Interoperability and NHS Login
- Integration, testing and delivery
The startup is seeking for an experienced software vendor who can demonstrate experience of working with early stage startups in designing and developing both consumer facing (B2C) and enterprise grade (B2B) systems. It would be an added advantage for the vendor/supplier to have prior experience of developing systems for the health sector. Tenders will only be considered from vendors who would be able to provide the overall costs (high level) associated with the design, development and the testing of the product platform.
